Name: Kaiyasho Kytomaro
Gender: Male
Age at time of death: 28
Current age: 235
Rank:
Squad 9
Vice Captain
Skill Levels:
Kidou-Adept
Swordsmanship-Advanced
Shunpo-Adept
Hand-to-Hand-Advanced
Appearance:Personality:Kaiyasho is the embodiment of grace, in appearance and in battle.
He is never quick to judge anyone who he does not know personally.
He is, however, eager to accept any challenge without a second thought.
He is very quiet during battle, very calm and collected. He definately does not do any yelling or screaming of any kind, seeing as that he talks in a very low voice. This also suggests that he wants to keep to himself most of the time, but he still tends to make quite a few friends because of his non-judgemental nature.
Cautiousness is his best quality in some ways and his worst in others. His awareness on the battlefield is second to none when it is coupled with his cautiousness, but when it comes to being on a squad or team of any kind, he tends to worry too much about others rather than himself, leading to many injuries in the past.
Overall, he is easy to get along with and is very graceful and cautious in battle. The downside is is that he tends to succumb to many injuries if he is placed on a team of any kind.
Zanpaktou Spirit:Name: Zan-Shi Harumatsa
Personality:Zan-Shi is a timid spirit who can't seem to control her urge to hide in the shadows when everything around her is falling apart, exept when Kaiyasho is in danger of death. For some odd reason her timid self always seems to disappear when he needs her the most, being replaced by a passionate, fiery personality.
Her praises of him after a win far outwiegh the scoldings he recieves after a loss, suggesting that she is very forgiving and heartwarming.
During a battle, she seems to cheer him on as if she was a high school cheerleader whether he is winning or losing, concluding that she is a strong positive reenforcer.
Zan-Shi's Environment:
Zan-Shi lives in a widely snow-covered area of rolling hills, uncharacteristically dotted with thousands of blue flowers of many types.
The cold weather doesn't seem to affect her very much, since she focuses most of her time collecting the flowers.
Sealed Zanpaktou:Shikai: Separate and Decimate, Zan-ShiDuring Kaiyasho's Shikai, his Zanpaktou transforms into a naginata with jagged edges, as seen above.
Ability #1: Tatsumaki no Katsudo (Tornadic Activity)
Kaiyasho can control the wind to increase the flight speed of his naginata, increasing damage.
Ability #2: Geiruo-budesutini (Gale of Destiny)
Kaiyasho spins his naginata at a high level and hurls it towards his enemies.
Bankai: Zan-Shi, Kontorōru wa-kaze ga-karera no unmei wo seigyo (control the wind, control their fate)
During Kaiyasho's bankai, he still has the naginata, but there is a second blade on the other end of the staff.
Bankai Ability #1: Hariken Hakai
(The Hurricane of Destruction)
During this bankai ability, a large gust of wind is eminated from the naginata. If this ability is used in a desert, a sandstorm can be created, if it is used near the ocean, a waterspout can be created.
Ultimately, the effects of this ability depend on the environment.
Bankai Ability #2: Pafekuto Sutomu
(The Perfect Storm)
In this bankai ability, lightning is discharged from the naginata.
The lightning can damage the opponent, but if the naginata is spun while the electricity is being discharged, it can be used as a type of protective shield.
One appearance change during Kaiyasho's bankai is that his hair becomes almost twice as long as its original length, and it changes into a pure-white color.
Backround:Kaiyasho was born in a remote village 12 miles southwest of Kyoto, Japan, back during the time of horses, samurai, and many wars.
From the time he was able to walk and talk, about 2 years old, he had to endure intense training to become a samurai for the Kytomaro Clan, a very respected clan in the samurai world.
His father, Hakato Kytomaro, who became a general at the young age of 17, was THE most talented and respected general of his time. It is said that he killed at the least 500 enemy soldiers in one lone battle.
His mother was a cooking assistant at a local ramen shop, the Ronakiga Ramen Shop.
Kaiyasho seemed to be destined for greatness, but at the time of his ascendancy into being a fully-fledged samurai, he suffered a devestating injury that left him nearly paralyzed from the waist down, from an apparent feild-training exercise gone horribly wrong.
His father was especially devestated, but Kaiyasho vowed that he would recover with full health.
The doctors were skeptical, especially with the lack of medical acheivements, that he would recover at all, but miraculously he did recover in one short year, by the amazement of the doctors.
And did he ever, because he was able to pass every test given to him with flying colors.
By the time he was 25, he was a general by his father's side, fighting together in every battle. After at least fifty battles, Kaiyasho's kill count was over 15000, a faster feat than even his own father had accomplished. His grace and skill on the battlefield proved to be the most destructive force in all Japan.
As said before, his cautiousness on the battlefield can be a good quality and a bad one.
At the age of 28, he was surprisingly placed on a large squad of about 15 members.
He was given the opportunity to be called captain of that squad,
(obviously, because he was already a general, and had much more experience than any of the squad members could ever achieve in their lifetime) and was paid handsomely for his services.
In only his second battle as squad captain, his squad was completely decimated, and only he and 2 other men went up against 70 enemies. He swore to them that he would protect them before he thought about any of the enemies. Well, that philosophy worked for the first few enemies, but even with his skills, he wasn't able to hold them all off for much longer.
He was killed by the enemy force, although he diminished their numbers to only 13.
He died valiantly in battle at the young age of 28.
His funeral was very large, due to his credentials as a samurai and the circumstances of his death.
Sadly, his father was so despaired over his son's death, that in just two days after the funeral, Hakato took his own life, and because of that suicide, his wife Syname was left to fend for herself.
Her luck, however, was much different. She became the owner and manager of the ramen shop that she was working at previously.
Her ramen became nationally famous and she died at a very old age, thanks to the future advances in medicine.
Lets rewind back to just after Kaiyasho lost his life in the world of the living.
His soul wandered in the world of the living for about 3 months before he was spotted by a lone soul reaper.
Kaiyasho was actually being targeted by a hollow during those three months, but was remarkably able to evade it, partially due to his samurai training during life.
The soul reaper was able to defeat the hollow with relative ease, and with a swift thrust of the hilt of his zanpaktou, Kaiyasho was sent to the Soul Society.....
Kaiyasho's body had made it to the Soul Society, but something was very unusual--Kaiyasho was asleep, and for some reason he remained asleep in the Soul Society for hundreds of years, until a freak wind gust awakened him abruptly.
He realized he was in danger, seeing as that the gust happened to be a large tornado-like figure.
The difference between this gust and a normal tornado is that it didn't have the power to carry him up into it.
He then saw something stuck in the ground that was very strange, and it was right in the middle of the vortex.
It just so happened to be some kind of Katana-like sword.
He was somehow able to walk right into the tornado with ease and grab the sword.
Suddenly, he was transported to a strange feild of snow-covered hills with thousands to millions of blue-colored flowers.
He then saw a small child dressed in a blue shirt and mini-skirt.
After they introduced themselves to each other, she was explaining the situation to him.
This sword was his Zanpaktou, Zan-Shi was her name, and she was the spirit who occupied the sword.
She then explained to him Shikai and Bankai, and how to call her name the right way so that he could use these abilities.
Zan-Shi also explained the 13 Court Guard Squads and how it takes much training to become even a lieutenant.
They train everyday and are still training to this day.
RP Example:
After the DreamsThis tornado in front of me doesn't seem as dangerous as it should be, I mean, shouldn't I be in the sky right now, hurdling towards god knows where. This is very strange.......wait.....what the heck is that doing there??
Is that a..katana??
So strange...should I try to grab it..no, no that's crazy talk...or is it?
That's it, I'm definitely going for it.
This.....can't be. I'm walking right through it, that's impossible!
What kind of a tornado is this? It feels like a calm wind.....
What is this light?? (transportation occurs as he goes for the sword)
(Open's his eyes)
Where the heck am I???
Snow?.....with flowers...a lot of flowers...geez, where is this???
(travels a few miles)
Geez, how big is this place, there's nothing in sight.
Wait...there's someone there...a....girl...?
With those skimpy clothes in a place like this??
Hey, hey, do you know where the heck this is, little girl?
(now she is talking)
Who are you calling a little girl?? I hate being called LITTLE!!!
(I'm going to have to put this in play/script form)
Kaiyasho: Sorry, sorry, don't get your cold feet in a bunch.
Girl: Ha, my feet never get cold here.
Kaiyasho: You sure about that??
Girl: As sure as these are flowers and this is snow.
Kaiyasho: Wow, so your feet never get cold, ever??
Girl: Nope, never, and why are you talking in such a quiet voice?
Kaiyasho: I don't know, I just always have.
Girl: Oh....Ya know I never told you my name, it's Zan-Shi.
Kaiyasho: I'm Kaiyasho Kytomaro, a great samurai from the world of the living..ah..wait, why did I just call it that??
Zan-Shi: A samurai??.....never mind.
You called it that because that's what it is called, or at least that's what the soul reapers call it.
Kaiyasho: Soul Reapers??
Zan-Shi: Regulators of human spirits.
Kaiyasho: What does that mean actually?
Zan-Shi: The Soul Reapers "save" human spirits from the world of the living so that they can be reborn in the Soul Society, a regular human could call it something like limbo.
Kaiyasho: Limbo!!
Zan-Shi: Pretty much, yeah, and with your new sword, or Zanpaktou, you can become a Soul Reaper yourself.
Kaiyasho: Are...you...serious??
Zan-Shi: Yes, the sword you grabbed in the tornado was your Zanpaktou, and I am the spirit of that.
Kaiyasho: A...a...spirit!?
Zan-Shi: Yes, a spirit, the spirit of the sword, and the place you see is my domain, my home.
As we speak, we are inside the sword.
I transported you here, so that I could teach you how to use me in battle.
Kaiyasho: Battle! What kind of battle?
Zan-Shi: You'll figure that out for your self.
When I transport you back out of this sword, you will be able to hear me in your mind. Listen, and you will learn the secrets of this sword, called Shikai and Bankai...
Kaiyasho: Shikai....Ban--
(With a bright flash of light, Kaiyasho is transported out of the sword)
Kaiyasho: Wait...geez, she doesn't warn me or nothing.
(a voice rings in Kaiyasho's head)
Zan-Shi: Grab the sword and say "Separate and Decimate, Zan-Shi"
Kaiyasho: OK.....Separate and Decimate, Zan-Shi!!
(a brilliant flash of light occurs, and Kaiyasho's *Shikai is activated.)
*Kaiyasho's Shikai is explained earlier in the app.
Kaiyasho: What!? Two....Naginatas, how did that happen?
Zan-Shi: This is your Shikai, with it you should be able to link those together with spiritual energy. You should also be able to control the element of wind with relative ease.
Kaiyasho: ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!
Zan-Shi: Ha, I expected that reaction, it will take much training to effectively use your Shikai, one year to be exact...
Kaiyasho: One year...I guess I better get started then..........
TO BE CONTINUED.............
