Personality: Formal, cool, and unbending, Neo seems to be the result of punk meeting businessman. Keeping himself held high with a sense of arrogance, he may come off as rude, but he is actually quite formal. He usually prefers to keep to himself, but he is also known for making alliances to suit his own goals. To him, everything has a price, the only obstacle is weather or not you are willing to pay it. Despite these cold undertones, he also has a "cool guy" side, willing to act out on impulses, often that go against his own logic. However, he usually recovers quickly from these outbursts.
When it comes to fighting, he's just as cool as you'd expect him to believe himself to be. He's very calculating, excelling at reading the actions of others. As he says, "It's just like any investment, you have to know what you're getting into first." Despite his personality, one would be surprised to learn that he sees fighting as a last option. Despite being more willing to just pay someone off then have to fight them, he is quite an adept fighter. He just finds that fighting others can bring up grudges, and he prefers to take care of business.
Most of the time, when around girls, Neo doesn't change a bit. He is usually to busy with other matters to care, but he has his moments. Neo prefers the finer things in life, and because of this, he lives quite a good life for a vizard. When escapading as a human, he drives a luxury car, goes to the best restaurants, and is seen with the biggest stars.
History: Not much is known about Neo's early life as a human. All that is know is that he became one of the world's biggest businessmen at the age of 20. It is not known which company this was, but because of his "business ethics", he became the target for many opponent industries. At the age of 25, he was murdered by a hit-man hired by a rival company. As he died, not knowing what lay after life, he swore that he would not make the same mistakes that he had made in life. Only a few moments later, he found himself face to face with a shinigami, and was sent to the seireitei.
Once there, he knew what his next "business" action was; to create a new company that could be the biggest in this new afterlife. Only a few years after entering the seireitei, he created his company, Silver Dragonfly Glasses Store. As the company grew, so did his influence, even if it was all behind the scenes. Through various connections, he was able to pull some strings, and received shinigami training. Underground, he became a shinigami, not to serve the seireitei, but to prevent another incident like what happened during his life. Somehow, he was able to keep the fact that he was a shinigami secret, even while dealing with other shinigami. Because of this, it is known that he mastered the skills of a shinigami very quickly.
For the next couple of hundred years, things went smoothly, his true identity hidden and his company booming, selling the most popular glasses and sunglasses in the seireitei. Then, Aizen came along. Although not bothering himself with the affairs of the Gotei 13, he noticed Aizen's talent right away. The draw back was, because of the secrets he had to hide, he did not have a chance to meet up with the shinigami until his defection, after he had turned many members of the Gotei 13 into hollows. Trying in vain to convince Aizen that he would need a good "business partner" such as himself, he was soon the target of hollowfication at Aizen's hands. This time, as he lay there becoming a monster, he looked back to his first death. Realizing some of his errors, he swore to himself that he would never meet this fate again.
When all seemed hopeless, Neo's will alone gave him an edge. Able to turn the edge on the hollowfication that was taking over his body, he managed to find Urahara right before he left with the other hollowfing shinigami, catching a ride with them. However, because of his reputation, he soon left them, but not after learning the secrets to controlling the hollow now within himself. After taming the beast, Neo once again went back into the world, this time with more vigor than ever. After all of his experiences, he was ready to make a lasting business empire. With the help of some contacts int the seireitei, he was able to maintain the Silver Dragonfly Glasses Store, earning money through it.
Now, skip around one hundred years to the present. Once again, Neo is one of the biggest businessmen in the industry. Because of his vizard powers, he hardly even has to worry about attempts on his life anymore, confidant of his strength. His current company is not a producer of a single product, but a parent company, controlling many other smaller companies ranging from pharmaceutical to military producers.
Zanpahtou Name: Oujou Sozei (lit. Death and Taxes)
Spirit:
A seemingly odd occurrence, Neo's zanpaktou spirit takes two forms, respectively known as Oujou (Death) and Sozei (Taxes). The two spirits are brothers, and each represent the two inevitabilities of life, very suitable for Neo's personality. They both act similar to Neo and each other, but Oujou is more focused on killing to reach his goals, where as Sozei prefers to keep his hands "clean" and simply use money to obtain what he wants (note the irony).
Inner World: Neo's inner world is that of a graveyard, yet on a ceramic tile floor, with a cash register in the center.
Sealed Zanpaktou is very plain, the sheath and hilt both black and not separated by a guard. It appears to be a very modest blade, except that the blade it's self is even black in color.
Release Phrase: "Collect, Oujou Sozei"
Shikai Description: For it's Shikai, Oujou Sozei extends, curving back and then shooting forward in a spike, resembling what almost appears to be a question mark. The weapons is like a combination between a sword and a scythe. It also gains a small diamond shaped guard.
Shikai Abilities: Oujou Sozei's ability is a very odd and unique one. By touching any other zanpaktou (shinigami or arrancar) it is able to revert that sword back into it's sealed form and lock it's powers, keeping them from releasing their zanpaktou until the battle is over or he changes his zanpaktou (either to sealed form or Bankai). The ability is very dangerous to his opponents, as it allows him to maintain an advantage between forms.
Special Ability: Tax Collection
Once Neo has sealed the powers of a zanpaktou, he can then use any powers that that zanpaktou had. The draw back is that the abilities he gains are all based off of what from the zanpaktou was in when he sealed it. If it was sealed, he gains no powers, but on the other end of the scale, if it was in bankai, he would gain the bankai's ability. The abilities he gains only last for as long as his sword is in it's shikai, and as it is not a always-released type, it must revert to it's sealed form at some time.
Bankai Name: Oujou Sozei Batsu (lit. Death and Taxes; Punishment)
Description: Neo's Bankai is the scythe that Oujou is seen holding. (refer to the picture)
Bankai Ability: Neo's Bankai's main effect allows him to create clones, or dual images of himself. While the clones cannot harm his opponent (if they attack the opponent, their attack just goes right through them) they allow Neo to surprise his opponent. His Bankai also has two other abilities/effects. The first roots back to his shikai. Any energy based attack that Neo blocks with his scythe, he can intercept and redirect at his opponent as his own attack. This does not apply to physical attacks (such as sword slashes or punches). The second ability draws off the first, If Neo successfully hits his opponent with one of their own redirected attacks, they are immediately bound to four large iron balls attached to each of their limbs by chains. While bound by the chains to the iron balls, their speed and mobility are severely reduced. This ability is known as punishment.
Hollow Powers: As a vizard, Neo only hung on to two hollow powers (not including ressurection and his mask). These would be the ability to use cero's and the ability to use high-speed regeneration, to an extent. The regeneration was chosen because of past experiences, but he can only use it to heal minor wounds.
