House Warming Gifts

Hoshi Would be coming out of his mansion in the outskirts of tokyo and he felt an evil presence surround him from all sides he was confused as to what it was because he had never felt it before. "Who is there!" Hoshi screamed at whatever was around him. Many voices would awnser him by saying "Consider this a Hose warming Gift from Hueco Mundo."
As the voices said that Hundreds of Hollows would come rushing out and jumping on him but Hoshi took out one of his cards and it produced a Venus shell around him that repeled the hollows from hurting him for the time being for he knew he couldnt defeat these creatures he had never seen and it was only a matter of time before his crude level one protection would shatter and let the hollows in.

Why was he here again? Ah, right. Someone was stupid enough to be hurt by a Hollow while stationed on earth, and nobody else from the fourth squad had time. A rare occasion, but not unheard of... so now, he was down here. The guy was healed. And why was he not back in Soul Society now? Well...
To put it simly, there was a huge Hollow signal. Not just normal huge. More like FREAKIN huge. To huge for normal Shinigami to simply dispatch. So in addition to healing someone from the 11th Squad - no wonders why noone 'had time' for him - now he had to clear out Hollows, too. Standing on the roof of a nearby house, the Shinigami looked down on the mess... and on a... human? What the hell? Toja wasted no more time, jumped down and fired a ball of red fire from his right hand, pulverizing two Hollows with one shot, standing infront of the barrier protected human. His presence was released, and with that, his high Reiatsu, which made quite some of the Hollows slowly back up. The Captain didn't even reach for his sword.
"What the fuck are you doing, being in the middle of this mess?" As he looked back, the human had quite a good look at the soft, young looking face and really small stature of the Fourth Captain. If not for the white Haori, noone would believe that this pretty boy could be a captain. At least not until he kicked the face of the doubter in.

"Hell if i know!!" Hoshi said looking at the captain. "I just movved here and these things came out and jumped on me!. I have seen some wierd things in my life but nothing like this." The shell would still be around Hoshi as he would take out 4 cards raising his level to five and the cards turning into a rapier. "Did you send these things on me; Your a really cute guy but if your evil your going down harder then lead of an airplae you hear!" Hoshi was visibly scared because even tough he was the son of a goddes he knew very little about the things in Japan and didn't know if this man was there to hurt him or help him. "Now tell me what just happened or else!" he said voice quivering in fear.

Twitch. A lone vein nearly popped on his forehead. Did that guy just... yes, he did. He commited the most horrible sin of them all. Something that brought the wrath of Hagiwara Toja down on many Shinigami before it was known that calling him... cute was like stomping on a Quincys Pride - a mistake that could turn out quite painful.
But sadly, he had to take care of something else. Something that was called 'huge Hollow invasion' at his ass. Reaching for his blade, he deemed it necessary to end it all very quick. But not so quick that he would use Bankai.
"Light up the sky, Hotaru." In a flash, she blade changed - from a two handed Katana, into a single, straight double edged blade, shining with inner flames. Slashing away, he cut a Hollow in half, mask first - after that, a huge fire cutter was shot out at the rest. In just a matter of one minute or so, he had whiped out the evil spirits.
"And now... to you." Releasing his Shikai, he put the blade back in it's sheath, approaching the panicking human with a friendly face, almost like a nice little... girl. That was, until he kicked the unknown person right into the face, or attempted to, that is. "NEVER call me cute again, ASS!"

The barier would protect Hoshi from the kick and sending the new "friend" a few inches back as then the shell would break into hundreds of shards.

"A Boy like you shoundt be acting like a sour little........ Girl." Viz said know ing that would rub the new friend the wrong way. "Nice fighting skills you got there. "My name is Hoshi and i moved here from Greece" he said with a smile. "Now can you explain to me what just happened and who the hell those things and you are i hope im not in trouble with anyone"

Then the same evil voice from before said "Listen shinigami protect this human or else he and your entire squad will suffer a horrible death" Then the trees would move as the atmosphere got lighter as the reiatsu of the hollow would leave the area.

"What is that voice. And what is a shinigami?" Hoshi said in a terrified tone of voice hidding behhind a marble column of his house.

First, Toja shouted back at the strange voice. "Yeah, really funny. Try anything on my Squad and you will wish to have never been born. Mark my words, bastard, whatever race you are!" He said back at the dark voice, not flinching even a bit. Then, his eyes turned to the stranger who introduced himself as Hoshi. Without further warning, he grabbed the other guy on his shirt - he was to short to grab anywhere higher. Man, that stinged.
"Do you actually WANT to be beaten to a pulp, punk?" Pure rage was now in the eyes of the Captain. The sheer nerve to call him a guy was an insult like nothing else. "I'm a Shinigami. A Spirit whose job it is to slay evil spirits like these Hollows and release the trapped human souls in them into the afterlife, and to send those that die into it. Seriously, how can a spiritually aware human NOT have heard of us? I'm the Captain of the Fourth Squad of the Gotei 13, Hagiwara Toja!" With these words, he pushed the stranger away from his grasp.
"That voice? Can't you tell? It's an asshole."

Hoshi was surprised that a little boy could lift him up that easily. "Hey calm down little boy no need to throw a fit over a silly little compliment" he said smileing. "Now then can you put me down i need to get my bearings on what just happened here." Hoshi would fade out of Tojas grip and under a tree. "Like i said im from Greece and im not really very knowlegable of this Japanese stuff since i was the son of a goddes just sent to Japan to the the buisness of the now evil Cupid maybe you can lead me to the nearest girl magnet so i can do my job" he said pulling out a bow and arrows. "Hmm you must be powerfull to resist my charisma ability most guys are all over me when they see me without my sunglasses on." he said smileing again at Toja. "Now Mr. Toja can you tell me what the hell just happened and these spirits you talk about" he said staring right into Tojas eyes his air of playfulness now gone and replaced by one of strict buissnes because if this was going to happen more often he needed to get a bodygaurd that can actually fight this new enemy for the time being.

"It's NOT a freaking compliment to be called a girl when you for sure have something in between your legs, stupid. It's a fucking insult, and I won't take any jokes on it." So he had not only a human infront of him, but a half-god? Now things got messy. But the good think was... the only god he had to care about was the Shinigami God or King, however you wanted to call him. Some greek god ment as much as a normal human to him.
On the other coment, he only laughed without any real amusement. "I am quite strong, you can bet on it. Though I don't see how anyone could be pulled in by such an obvious aura. And also, I'm not really into guys. Sorry to disappoint you, half-god. And spirits are just spirits, what is there more to say? The souls of the dead. I am one too, and the only reason you are able to see me is that you are spiritually aware. Or else, I and all Hollow would be like thin air to you. A Hollow is basicially a spirit that has lost it's heart and transformed into a monster." Hagiwara clearly hat no intention to go into phylosophical topics on how Hollows could be created, there was a magnitude of ways on how to turn a soul into a monster that would kill it's own brother.
"I don't normally reside in the human world. So no, I don't know any girl magnet. You can't be much of a godsend guy if you can't even figure out how to do your job, really..." Toja was still pissed, and that would not change very soon.

"Hmm I never really called you a girl did I" Hoshi said in a joking manner because hed never call a man sometihng other then that.
"Well then Mr.Toja if you could help me out by protecting me id pay you alot in whatever currency you want since i cant take care of these Holows or whatever you call them for now." Hoshi Would get up and walk to the new friend "Sorry if I try to hit on you its natural to me and you can be confused with a girl though i see right through it" he said extending his hand to Toja waiting for a response.

Beat him up or don't beat him up, Toja was really fighting with himself over that subject.
'He is a human, it only means more paperwork if you do.' A small voice in his head said - the spirit of his inner world and sword. Maybe the reason why it wasn't a fist, but an answer that the half-god got.
"Money? What do you take me for, a mercenary? Additional to the fact that it's impossible for a living to obtain any money as we use it in Soul Society, no matter what so called god you are a descendant from." Hagiwara replied, slightly angry on that proposal. "Also, I am the captain of a Squad of Healers and Kido specialists... But I can't just let someone like you run around unprotected, either. You emit a noticeable Reiatsu, which will attract Hollows, and those would like to eat your soul for dinner, I'm sure." The blond haired Shinigami sighed heavily.
"Guess I'll have to stick around with you for now." On a sign with his hand, a small, black butterfly landed on it. A little whispered command was spoken, not to be heard by a mortal soul, and after that, the little insect took off and disappeared. It would cross the worlds and send the need for a protector for a spiritually aware but defenseless human, because that was a Shinigamis duty - destroy Hollow, send souls to the afterlife, and protect souls from being consumed.

"Well i guess I dont want to be hollows dinner" he said staring intently at the shinigami. "Hey! Im not defenceless! its just my powers dont work well on spiritual beings they work better on heartless being that actually appear in the same plane as living organisms." he said taking out his deck of cards. "My mother gave me these cards they help me fight anything thing that comes my way you saw it yourself when you kicked my barrier and how the hollows were ontop of it" there would be a strong almost visible reiatsu comming off the cards and floating around Hoshi intensifying his own reiatsu that explaining fully how the hollows would confuse him for a higher level spiritual being then just a human. "I guess im ok with someone protecting me for free just aslong as you do a good job at it." At that moment more hollows would come out of the shadows surrounding the 2 aquientences. "Great more presents when will this thing end!" Hoshi would take out 6 cards as they would turn into a fan and as he would wave it and he said "Sakura Twister!" as then a giant twister made of hearts and sakura flower petals would strike the hollows cutting throught their hierro a bit and blowing some away. "Man these things are tougher then they seem im glad im not alone now." Hoshi then stood behind Toja taking his fighting stance ready for the up comming battle.

"Just if you didn't notice, abilities that can't affect spiritual beings are useless here. So you ARE helpless." The cards seemed interesting, indeed - something that Mayuri would love to take a look at, that was for sure. Hagiwara didn't really like mad scientists, though, so he wouldn't try to bring one of these back to the Gotei 13. First things first, he had to finish off these evil spirits - and the Captain had no intention of swinging his sword around again. Raising his right palm, he spoke some simple words.
"Hadō 31: Shakkahō!" he recited, and a ball of red flames bursted out of his hand, and the resulting explosion tore apart the Hollow it hit almost instantly. Thanks to the distance provided by the whirlwind of petals and hearts, Toja had more than enough time to display hif frightening powers with the magic arts. The next spell wasn't as easy as the first, so he decided to actually recite the incarnation, as the Hollows slowly came back up from being thrown to the ground by the whirlwind.
""Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens. Hado 63: Sōren Sōkatsui!" With the last words, both hands crossed, the first Hollows actually reached striking range. But that didn't help much against the huge wave of blue spiritual flames that the former Kido Corps member had unleashed now.

"Holy crap thats powerful!" Hoshi said after seeing the magic this kid made.
More hollows soon approched from all sides and started charging up theri ceros that would shurely do massive damage. As soon as the ceros fired a shell appeared around Hoshi and Toja holding back the ceros and reflecting back some of the ceros. This shell appeared to be made entirely of Reiatsu that had been solidified into a tough barrier stronger then when you first saw it. Hoshis fan would turn into a long thin red rapier and a heart shaped cero like point would being forming at its tip. The barrier would soon break as the hollows finished their ceros and Hoshi would scream "Heart BReaker!" thr cero like beam would shoot out of the tip and go through the line of hollows infront of Hoshi. It being an extremely thin beam but extremely powerful it would slice trhough more hollws as Hoshi would turn in around slicing and killing most if not all of the hollows that were surrounding them. "See im not helpless" Hoshi said in a weak and tired voice panting as then he would black out and fall to the floor uncoincious from exaustion.

Toja couldn't help but smile on the words of the strange kid. Of course it was powerful - it was Kido. But still, it was nice to hear those words from time to time. The Captain was actually getting ready to use Bakudo to block this onslaught of Ceros, but this time he was the one amazed. The kid actually managed to deflect the energy blasts! Not bad for a human, or half-god, or whatever. He still didn't really believe the story of the stranger.
The next move, however, forced Hagiwara to leap up into the air to dodge as Hoshi FIRED HIS LAZERZ on the Hollows, obliterating almost all of them. The two remaining? Byakuran took care of them. Shortly before Hoshi hit the ground afterwards, he landed softly in the arms of the Captain, however, who carefuly hold the exhausted human with a slight smile on his face, making him look even more like a girl. Nothing, really NOTHING could make one assume that he was actually a more than 400 years old Shinigami, that was for sure...
"I must say, you fought quite well..." Hagiwara mumbled, as he procceeded to lay the exhausted fellow on the ground. A green light started to appear around his hands, as he placed them upon Hoshis chest. This magic would first restore the Reiatsu, and after that, any wounds he may had taken. Healing with kido always worked like this.

Hoshi would open his eyes acouple of hours after he fainted because he was feeling terribly ill since he had moved to Japan and he had no idea why that was but during the battle he was losing reiatsu quicker then anyone could ever have. During the period of being uncouncious Hoshi remembered many pieces of his life. He always told people he was a son of a goddeds but the truth was he was the son of a Shinigami and a human. His mom aphrodite was once a proud shinigami captain of squad 4 but after 100 years as captain she disappeared in the human world and fell in love and got married and had Hoshi 24 years ago. What was strange is that Hoshi wasnt really a human and not really a Shinigami because he was not dead he was just a human with strong spiritual energy. His mom gave him a special set of cards that could channel reiatsu through them so he could fight and defend himself. His mom let him fight a special breed of hollows that emanate from people who had died by and couldnt pass on because of emotions they had in the past. Basicly it was a living human taking the place of a shinigami.

Hoshi looked at Toja and said "I lied i know all about shinigami and hollows." Hoshi turnned his head looking away from Toja. "My mother was a captain in squad 4 but she fell in love with my father." "Before she died she told me to move here and to find a shinigami that could take care of me since im such a focal point for hollows since my body cant really have a firm gras on my reiatsu when i get sick." "Maybe your the one that might be able to help me get better at fuffiling my mission." Hoshi tried to get up but his body was still reallying in pain and fell back down.

[Hagiwara Toja]

"Don't talk just yet. And for the love of god, don't move. I've been trying to fix your body up since almost six hours now." Hagiwara interrupted his patient, softly pushing him back onto the bed he had laid him into, in Hoshis own house. Since the door had not been locked, it was still in place, too. Two deep, dark rings had appeared under Tojas eyes, clearly showing his exhaustion from healing so much and for such a long time.
"The son of one of my predecessors, heh? Well, that explains a lot. Still, you have to recover now. Or else, you might really attract more Hollows." Actually, he already would have done that normally, but the Captain had raised a barrier around the house for now, preventing Reiatsu from leaking. That this barrier also consumed his enegry didn't help with his own exhaustion problems, more like the opposite.
"I contacted the Gotei 13 and got leave for some days for now. I can't let you run around while attracting so many Hollows... in addition to yourself, that would also endanger all of Tokio City. And we have more than enough work with ONE strongly aware town like Karakura, another one would pose a problem for sure." The son of a criminal... well, that didn't make him a criminal. Her sins where not his, that was a fact. Even Central would see that... IF they learned of his existance. Old man Yama would probably kick Tojas ass for not telling, but he didn't know either.

Hoshi noticed that Toja was getting tired after the healing and barrier around his house. "You should get some rest to your energy must be seriously drained from taking care of me for so long." Hoshi pointed to a door in the room. "theres a spare bedroom there with its separete bathroom help yourself to anything you want and dont worry mom has her protection around this house only a number cero espada could break into this house." He said with a faint smile.
"Will i be punished for what my mom did. She broke the rules and came to live here though she was still protectin the world from a different kind of hollow she discovered one day. Thats what i do to this day and why i came here. If i have to be punished for her i wouldnt mind its the least i could do for mom." Hoshi said this as he started to look up and continued talking. "When i was 10, hollows attacked our home in Greece and mom told me to hide because i wasnt ready to fight yet. So i hid and mom went out of her gigai to fight the hollows but they were to strong for mom and she used her bankai to keep me safe but her bankais ability took her own life." Hoshi would take out a a small necklace what had a chrrey blossom charm on it and a small pink stone that emanated a vast amount of reiatsu. "This is whats left of mom. Some how she turned into what appears to be solidified reiatsu." Hoshi would put it away into a small box as his eyes would start to water. "It should have been me that day they wanted not her." Hoshi would cover his face as he started to cry into his hands. "I wish that i had died that day and not her its not fair! First they take dad and then mom now im all alone in this big empty house with no family or friends and no ammount of money will bring them back." Hoshi would continue crying for he had no one else in this world that loved him and would take care of him and the lonelyness of 14 years had taken a toll on him and that was clearly visible thought what he had said and the experiences in his life.

"Hey... it's alright." Toja could say nothing more, as he deactivated his barrier around the house and the green light around his hands dimmed down. Hoshi truely seemed like he was down on the ground with his feelings - Toja knew what he went through a bit, in over 400 years of life, you learned and experienced more than you ever wanted. Slowly, the feminine captain laid his hands around the shoulders of the boy, waiting for his tears to stop before even trying to continue talking for now.
"I won't turn you in for a crime you didn't commit, that's just crazy. Not even Central would want that, so don't worry. A Shinigamis crimes never carry over through blood, and since you never where a Shinigami... you can't be a rogue one, either." Hagiwara said softly with a slight smile. In truth, he could not understand how any Shinigami could defect from Soul Society, he himself loved the Gotei 13. He could never leave either his fourth Squad or his friends there. Finally standing up, he stretched himself a bit.
"Well, guess I really gotta take a nap... man, that's rare for Shinigami in the real world... I will help you for now, Hoshi. But be aware of the fact that my training is extreme." Just like everything that Toja did, actually. "I will teach you how to completely control your Reiatsu."

Hosih looked at Toja cleaning his eyes of tears "Really youd train me" Hoshi said said starting to smile. "But first youll need to blend into the human world" Hoshi then would get off the bed. "Ill make you a gigai so that you can hang around the human world" Hoshi smiled. "I know how much you hate getting called a girl so ill make shure it looks like you but a little bit manlier if you dont mind it that is"

"If I say I train you, I train you. I stand by my word, after all, I'm a captain." Toja exclaimed a bit annoyed. Why did some people always repeat what was said only seconds ago? Anyways, the next thing Hoshi said made him chuckle a bit.
"No need, Hoshi. I requested a Gigai from Urahara already before you woke up, it will be hear anytime now. And also, the Gigai can't look any different from the Shinigami... or else, we won't be able to actually use them. So the body has to be the same." Toja explained to the human and yawned, before turning towards the room he was shown earlier.
"You better rest some more. Once I get myself some energy back, we will start your training. You will have to work hard, got it?" Actually, Toja was a bit worried about blending in with human society to begin with. As a Kido-Corps member, he nearly never had been in the human world, since almost all duties of the rather mysterious unit of the Gotei 13 concered more the Soul Society. The only occasions when Kido Corps was send out normally was if a Shinigami needed healing, but a fourth Squad member would not be able to protect himself, since many of them could not fight - but a Kido Corps member could use healing Kido, after all, to help, even though not as effective. And the last time he was in the real world before being promoted to a Captain was 200 years ago...
