Training a New Lieutenant

Ravana was sitting in the middle of a training field, meditating while he waited for his Lieutenant. Because Takahiro had just been reassigned to be his lieutenant, Ravana had decided that he should test his abilities. Noticing the others presence, Ravana stood up, opening his eyes "Ah, Takahiro, good of you to come" he said, inviting him in. Grinning, Ravana looked over at his new lieutenant "Now, this may just be practice, but I want you to give it all you've got."

Takahiro walks to the captain. ''Its a pleasure to be here captain.'' he says. Takahiro stands with one hand resting on the hilt of his zanpakutou. ''I will do my best to please you captain. It is truly an honor to be your lieutenant''. He jumps back far enough to let the captain get in his fighting stance. Takahiro then grabs the hilt of his blade and pulls it out then resting it on his shoulder. He then looks up at the captain and says,''Ready when you are captain''.

Grinning, Ravana began to crack his neck and his knuckles "Well, I'm glad to see that you're enthusiastic about this, but I'll warn you, you must try your best to impress me." With that said, Ravana drew his zanpaktou in the blink of an eye, lowering himself into a lower battle stance. "Now then, when you're ready, the first attack is yours" he said, ready to fight.

Takahiro slightly laughs and says,''This will be fun, captain.'' He then lowers his zanpakutou until the tip of the blade is touching the ground. He runs forward and then a zigzag formation. Then Takahiro yells, ''HITARU, FREEZE!'' Then, in a blink of an eye, spikes of ice grow from the marks left by the tip of the blade. They begin to grow large enough to be walls and they form a maze around the captain. In the distance you hear a yell, ''I make sure to keep the fights long!.''

Grinning, Ravana stood back up, abandoning his fighting stance "Heh, so, you've decided to come at me full force from the beginning, however, I won't be able to see your true skills unless I match you." With that, Ravana held his Zanpaktou up, close to his face "Now, blot out the sun, Kuro-iki!" he shouted. As soon as he did so, a strong black energy began to emanate from his Zanpaktou, expanding explosively outwards; however, in an instant, all the energy shot back to his hands. Standing there, Ravana's Zanpaktou was held under his belt, and now a black energy was swirling around both of his hands "Now then, let's see how strong this ice is." With that, Ravana summoned up a circle of the black energy around himself by crossing his arms, and by uncrossing them, sent the circle out in all directions around himself, cutting the ice.

Takahiro is then standing there with broken pieces of ice all around him. ''heh. Let me explain something about my zanpakutou's ability.'' He says. ''Hitaru allows me to control ice through every mark,cut, or scratch my blade makes. This being said...HITARU! FREEZE!''he yells. Ice walls begin to grow out from the marks left behind from the blade once again. Except this time the walls grow higher and the ice expands to make itself thicker. ''Now then captain.'' his reflection appears all around the ice. ''Lets play some hide and go seek. You're it first.'' He then vanishes form the ice and in the distance you can hear him running.

Grinning, Ravana just stood there "Hmm, from your cut's you say..." he trailed off. Quickly, he gathered more of the black energy around his fists "So, if I destroy the surface that the ice is on, then your powers become null and void." As he said this, Ravana punched into the ground forcefully, letting out a large shock wave of the black energy from his fists. The force of his punch coupled with the shock wave of black energy completely destroyed the surface they were standing on, destroying any signs that the cuts had even been there. "You see, to maintain the element of surprise, you must keep concealed what your powers stem from, you see, by telling me the ice emanates from your cuts, I can just destroy the ground instead of focusing on the ice it's self" he said. Grinning, he used shunpo to appear right in front of Takahiro "However, even if I told you the base of my own powers, there would be little you could do about it; but still, show me what else you can do with these ice powers."

''hmm I never learn to keep my mouth shut.'' Takahiro says with a low voice. ''Alright you want to see something els?'' he asks. Before he let the captain answer he uses his zanpakutou to cut a little sliver on the captain's shoulder. ''Now, Hitaru...Freeze.'' He says slyly. Then ice begins to wrap around the captain's arm coming from the cut. But before he completely freezes the arm, he makes all the ice fall and let the ice break into pieces on the ground. ''I can also freeze my victims with just a few cuts.''He says then waits for a reply.
